Dig In To It!

So often I get questions on how do I manage to travel full time and how do I afford it. This is a two part question. I can travel fulltime because I do not keep any type of residency in the US. I do not have rent or an apartment. So that really frees up up your money. With that being said I do have a family address I keep for mail and anything else important.

I have had it all. The really nice house, nice cars, boat and so many other things, but these things did not make me happy. I felt stagnant many times. They are just items. You cannot take any of these things to the grave with you.

So I asked myself what made me happy? This question will be different for everyone and answer as well, but for me experiences. The excitement of new smells, sounds and adventures. Of course when I started this journey I had no idea what I was doing.

I made mistakes in pretty much everything at first.

How do I afford to travel. I do some freelance work and I am also retired from the US Army. I have a source of income every month. I still do budget because if your are not careful you can run out of money quick. I also choose destinations that are affordable. Some destinations that are expensive I will only go for a short term. Example Europe is expensive o I covered London, Paris, and Barcelona in six weeks. I will get into each location in a latter post. I hope this helps answer these two common questions.
